Intended use
Test for the quantitative determination of hemoglobin in blood with Reflotron systems.
Summary
Determination of the total hemoglobin in the blood, in combination with other parameters like
the haematocrit and the red cell count, provides valuable information about functions of the
circulatory system which are extremely important for the organism: oxygen transport, carbon
dioxide transport and regulation of the acid-base balance.
Determination of hemoglobin is thus one of the fundamental components of any clinicalchemical
evaluation. Determination of hemoglobin alone can already indicate the presence
of anaemia, the type of which (reduced hemoglobin content or reduced numbers of
erythrocytes) must then be established in further tests.
Available in a tube of 30 test/strips.
